Futures High School is overseen and managed by Gateway Community Charters, Inc. (GCC). GCC is an independent non-profit 501(c)3 agency that was created to support students, parents, and communities through the conception, development, administration and governance of innovative, high quality, standards-based educational opportunities within the charter school construct. In cooperation with Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), Twin Rivers Unified School District, San Juan Unified School District School District, Yolo County Office of Education, and Sacramento City Unified School District, the GCC creates schools that serve the educational needs of the underserved, for example; the disenfranchised, culturally diverse, economically disadvantaged, English language learners and others.
